Our teaching methods are always based on fun, once you feel safe in the water and you are having fun learning will be very fast, all thanks to our surf monitors who make the courses very fun.
We are an official surf school of the Galician Surfing Federation, we have the necessary permits from Costas del Estado to be able to occupy the maritime public domain, we have accident insurance and liability insurance, and our monitors have TD1 surf monitor qualification.
The surf courses in Spain – Galicia in summer run from June 15th to September 15th, at Grip Surf School it always includes the material, cilvil liability insurance, accident insurance, professional and fun monitors.
The surf lessons in Galicia in winter run from September 15th to June 15th, at Grip Surf School it always includes the material, cilvil liability insurance, accident insurance, professional and fun monitors.
Private surf lessons can be for 1,2, or 3 students per monitor, it includes all material, accident insurance, RC insurance, professional and fun monitors.
We provide surf lessons for groups, schools, end-of-course excursions, associations, sports clubs, communions, birthdays, bachelorette parties….
The minimum age for surf courses is 5 years old, children between 5 and 10 years old (baby surf) it is advisable that they have their first class on the beach da Ladeira and see how they evolve.
There is no maximum age for surfing, the limit is set by you!
In the initiation groups the ratio is 5-6 students per monitor, in the improvement groups there are 3 students per monitor and the baby surf groups are 4-5 students per monitor.
Surf lessons last 2 hours, class starts when material is distributed, and the class is divided into 15 minutes of theory, 10 minutes of warm-ups and between 1h – 1h 30 min in the water.
In summer we have classes every day from Monday to Sunday there is a morning shift from 11:00 to 13:00 and an afternoon shift from 16:00 to 18:00.
The baby surf is always from 16:00 to 18:00 at Ladeira beach.
In Winter we have surf lessons Friday from 16:00 – 18:00, Saturday from 11:00 to 13:00 and Sunday from 11:00 to 13:00
We always look for the best sea and wind conditions depending on the level of the group, the classes can be at the beach do Vilar for days with few waves, beach da Ladeira (Corrubedo) for intermediate days, Espiñerido beach for the days of very few waves or beach of Aguiera on stormy days.
We recommend wearing a swimsuit that will go inside the wetsuit, a towel, flip flops, and sun cream.
If you have your material you can bring it to class and our monitors will advise you at all times if the material is right for your level and sea conditions.
